About Jabberhood
Caregiving is one of the loneliest jobs there is. Whether you're looking after a parent with dementia, a child with a disability, a partner recovering from surgery, or you do it professionally — most days, nobody around you really gets it.
Jabberhood is a small, local, invite-only community for Bay Area caregivers and the people who support them — nurses, social workers, home health aides, hospice volunteers, anyone care-adjacent. We meet up in person around the Bay Area, we talk online, we trade respite, and we share what actually works.
Who it's for
- Family caregivers (any relationship, any age you're caring for)
- Professional caregivers — nurses, aides, social workers, therapists
- Care-adjacent helpers — people whose work supports caregivers and the people they care for
How we keep it safe
Membership is by invite from an existing member plus admin approval. Every member shows who vouched for them. We have a clear code of conduct, a report button on everything, and admins who actually look at what's reported.
